The effect of surprise was also caused by the fact that local media did not mention the government plans for increasing the cost of fuel in advance. Already in the first minutes of March 1, at midnight in local time, new prices for fuel entered into force. To date, a liter of 94th gasoline on the island of Freedom costs 1.4 convertible pesos, or translated into the American currency $ 1.51. Recall that at the official exchange rate, one convertible Peso (KP) is $ 1.08. Perhaps the most common 90th gasoline in this country, as well as diesel fuel, has now risen up to 1.2 kp per liter, or up to 1.29 dollars.
